How to Check Continuity

Use continuity mode to quickly test wires, PCB traces, and electrical connections.

WRITTEN NOTE

Continuity mode checks whether two points are electrically connected. After turning off power to the circuit, place one multimeter probe on each end of the wire, PCB trace, switch, or solder joint being tested. A beep or very low resistance usually indicates a complete connection. In the video, test a good wire first, then compare it with a disconnected or damaged wire so the difference is clear.
