The current-limit setting on a bench power supply protects a circuit from drawing more current than expected. Before powering a new prototype, set the required voltage and choose a reasonable current limit. If the circuit attempts to draw too much current, the supply enters current-limiting mode instead of delivering unlimited power. In the video, set the voltage, adjust the current limit, and show how the display indicates constant-voltage and current-limit operation.
