The colored bands on a resistor represent its value, multiplier, and tolerance. Start reading from the side where the bands are grouped more closely together, while the tolerance band is usually separated near the end. In the video, choose one resistor, identify each color band, calculate its expected resistance, and confirm the result using a multimeter so viewers can connect the color code with a real measurement.
